Gumbuya Park 2016
Loves a day out reliving the old childhood. Knowing we had a party the night before Father's Day, the original day we were going to head out and do the "we love Daddy" celebrations, common sense set in and we decided to do the family day out the day before hand. I dare say we were onto it in multiple ways.
We spent Father's Day hungover on the couch cringing at the thought of alcohol, watching a 4x4 show all afternoon and eating several ripper platters of every type of food group known to man kind that I'd sloshed my last ounce of energy into making. For the multiple side of it, Gumbuya Park was dead empty. We saw a couple of other families all day, never had a problem seeing into the enclosures and certainly didn't wait in any lines. Win win.
Note to self, the day before Father's Day, I would imagine is the day to head out just about anywhere. Everyone has their plans set for the Sunday.
Here's a little bit of fun, Matilda just adored the dingos and the kangaroos though her favourite part of the day could possibly have been buying a lolly pop from the canteen. Kids.
Happy Father's Day to the best dad our kids could possibly ever have, you're our rock, our chief provider, out lion that protects us from the wilderness.
We'd be lost without you, we love you.
